Enhancements
Expanded API capabilities for Blink Payment platform-originated transactions
You can now rerun, set up repeat payment schedules, refund, cancel, and capture transactions originating from the Blink Payment platform directly via the API. While these actions have always been available for API-originated transactions, this update extends functionality to platform-originated transactions, enabling seamless cross-interface management.
Key updates:
Platform-Originated Transactions: Perform actions such as rerun, refund, cancel, and capture for transactions initiated through the Blink Payment platform using the API.
Enhanced parity: This update ensures consistent functionality between the platform and API, enabling uniform transaction management regardless of origin.
Simplified workflows: Greater flexibility for managing payments across the Blink Payment ecosystem.
Refund customers a partial amount through the Repeat payment API
We have added the option to partially refund customers from the Manage repeat payment page.
Automatically use intent data when setting up repeat payments
Repeat payments can now utilise information from the associated intent to reduce duplication:
Currency: If not specified in the repeat payments request, it will default to the intent's currency. If provided, the request's currency takes precedence.
Amount: For fixed schedules, if the recurring_amount is missing, the intent's amount will be used.
For variable schedules, the intent's amount is not applicable.
Bug fixes
Fix for Refunds API Returning 404 Error
An issue where API users encountered a 404 error when attempting to process partial refunds—despite the transaction being eligible—has been resolved. This fix ensures successful partial refunds as expected.
