New features

Repeat payment BETA

Repeat payment - payment links BETA

You can now send your customers both fixed and variable repeat payment links. We added a transaction type filter to the Requested payments page, allowing you to differentiate between the payment links you have sent.

Export functionality for the Manage Repeat Payments page BETA

You can now export data from the Manage Repeat Payments page. The export includes the following fields:
Date/time created, Customer name, Customer email, card number, Reference, Frequency, recurring amount, Next payment date and amount, total number of payments (total number of payments that have been processed), total amount (total processed amount), remaining instalments, status, source, created by (user).

Stripe

Multi-currency support for Stripe merchants

Stripe merchants can now accept multi-currency payments via Blink Payment Links and Blink Pages. To enable this feature, contact Support. Transactions will still be settled in your local currency. We can support 135 currencies – find out which ones here.

Batch requests for Stripe merchants

Stripe merchants can now send multiple payment links in one go, providing the same functionality that was previously available to other users.

Scheduled reports for Stripe merchants

Stripe merchants can now schedule reports, these are based off a saved filtered search and can be emailed at a frequency of your choosing.

Enhancements

Additional funding data on CSV exports

We’ve added the following fields to improve export functionality:
• "Card type" in the All card transactions CSV.
• "Transaction method" when downloading specific batch data from the Bank Reconciliation page.

Cancel refunds at the captured stage

You can now cancel refunds while the refund is still in the captured stage, when selected it will cancel the refund transaction
Customer name and email will now be on repeat payment receipts

New and improved filters in Advanced filters on the Blink card transactions page

We’ve added two new filters to the Advanced filters section:
• "Transaction type": Filter transactions by type, such as Sale, Verify, Preauth, Refund, Credit, or Delay.
• "Payment method": Previously called "Transaction type," this filter now helps you sort by ECOM, MOTO, EPOS, or CA (Continuous Authority: re-run and repeat payments).

Refund customers partially from the Manage repeat payment page

We have added the option to partially refund customers from the Manage repeat payment page.

New ability to unschedule reports on the Blink card transactions page

You can now unschedule active reports without deleting the search powering them. A new "Delete report" option has been added, making it easier to manage your scheduled reports.

Improved error messaging for invalid emails on Take a Payment

When entering an invalid email and clicking Charge, the error message now reads "Enter a valid email address" instead of "Enter an email address" for better clarity.

Enhanced tracking of user activity on Blink transaction pages and CSV exports

We have improved how the Recent Blink and Blink Card transaction pages display user activity and enhanced CSV export functionality:
• All virtual terminal, payment link, repeat payment, and batch payment transactions initiated in the Blink Payment platform now display the "Created by" user.
• Previously, this information was labelled "Processed by" for virtual terminal transactions and "Requested by" for payment link transactions. These have been unified under "Created by" for consistency.
• We’ve introduced new logic to handle multiple users linked to a single transaction, such as when one user cancels a payment or manually captures a delayed transaction early.

Additionally, the Blink Card transaction CSV export now includes:
• Created by
• Cancelled by
• Captured by (for delayed capture transactions).

Improved status updates for ECOM transactions

ECOM transactions processed on the Blink Payment platform (e.g., Blink Pages and Payment Links) will now immediately display their status as "Captured" or "Declined" on the Recent Blink Transactions page.

Bug fixes

Fixed receipt issue for open banking transactions

The Send receipts to user email option on the Payment Preferences page now works as expected for open banking transactions. When a payment link is paid, users will receive a copy of the receipt.

Correct receipt branding for Non-Blink platform transactions

You can now choose on the payment preferences page which branding you would like to utilise for legacy transactions not processed on the Blink payment platform.

Fix for scheduling reports on the Blink card transactions page

Previously, when editing a saved search schedule, selecting the "Monthly" option and checking the "First of the month" box would not allow you to deselect it. This issue has now been resolved, and you can freely toggle this option as needed.

Fix for filtering All card transactions by a single day

An issue that prevented merchants from filtering All card transactions to a single day has been resolved.

Fix for filters on the Blink card transaction page

We have updated the UI in Advanced Filters to resolve an issue where an erroneous additional tickbox prevented ECOM from being selected as a payment method data filter.

Fix for filtering the Open Banking reporting page
Filtering data on the Open Banking reporting page is now correctly limited to the specific data (Blink pages) a user can access.
