Improvements/Enhancements

03-12-24

Removal of sign-up links
Sign-up links for Blink Payment have been removed from the bottom of payment links and Blink pages.

Update to final repeat payment date logic
We have enhanced the logic for selecting the "final payment date" on both the platform and API. Users can now select dates from the day after the second-to-last payment date. The API will enforce restrictions, displaying an error message for invalid selections.

Improved Android, iPhone, and iPad user experience
We have improved the user experience on the Blink payment platform for iPads and Android devices by optimising its layout and usability.

Abilty to cancel delayed capture transactions
We have added the ability to cancel delayed capture transactions on the Blink card transaction page.

Payment link expiry enhancement
Customers and merchants are now informed of expiration dates on payment links through clear messaging on both the payment page and email notifications. An orange banner will indicate the expiry date on the payment page, while a red message will appear after the link expires.

Additionally, we have added a new "Expired" status and an "Expiry Date" column in the downloadable CSV on the Requested payments page for better tracking and reporting.

Bug fixes

04-12-24

We addressed a bug that caused the inability to add letters to the postcode field on the virtual terminal.

03-12-24
Payment link currency default
We addressed a bug that caused payment links to default to pounds, preventing the use of other currencies in both the user interface and processing.

Enhanced pagination across the platform
Pagination has been improved on the API, Gift Aid, and Repeat payment reporting pages by removing unnecessary elements. After applying a filter, users will now receive only one record, and the pagination options will no longer display multiple pages.

Repeat payments scheduling Issue
We’ve resolved an issue with repeat payments where selecting a start date of the 31st would cause payments to be skipped in months with fewer than 31 days. Payments are now correctly scheduled using the last valid day of the month for all applicable scenarios. This fix is applied across all repeat payment schedules.

Stripe payments with Link now displaying correctly
Merchants paying via 'Link' can now see their transactions in the Blink card and recent Blink transaction tables. The card number has been updated to 'Link', and the card scheme logo now correctly features the Link logo.
